OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES
Beijing 2022 will be the first Olympic Winter Games appearance for Denmark’s national men’s ice hockey team in their 76-year history.

WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
A member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) since 1946, their first international appearance was in 1949 at the World Championships in Sweden. There, they finished in 10th place and suffered notable defeats by large margins of 47-0 to Canada as well as 25-1 to Austria. They did not qualify for the World Championships again until 2003, when they finished 11th.

Their best results at the World Championships came in 2010 (Germany) and 2016 (Russian Federation), finishing in eighth place.

QUALIFICATION
Competing in Group F tournament of the 2022 Olympic qualifiers held in Oslo, they won all three matches, against Slovenia, Republic of Korea and Norway, by a combined goal differential of +13. Won in the final game against host nation Norway 3-0, with goaltender Sebastian Dahm posting a shutout with 26 saves.

Qualified for Beijing 2022 after finishing first in Group F qualification seeding.
