"Prior to playing goalball I actually had never played sport in my life. I actually hated sport with a passion. I feel like that partly was in relation to the fact that I felt like I couldn't play. I participated at a [goalball] demo at Braille camp, and my coach was like, 'Hey, you have potential to travel with this'. I heard the word 'travel' and I was like, yes! As time past, as my skills continue to develop, it gave me a sense of accomplishment and pride."
