He was introduced to wheelchair rugby while undergoing rehabilitation at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in England. "I remember just wanting to get active and to get doing something physical, and this appealed to me right away. Impairment Details
In 2000 he was paralysed from the chest down after breaking his neck in a car accident. He spent 11 months in a specialist spinal unit in Stoke Mandeville Hospital in England. "My dad was driving me to college when a white van swerved across the road and smashed headlong into us. After the crash happened I remember my dad getting out of the car and I was thinking, 'Maybe I should get out too', but I couldn't."
