He was introduced to the sport during rehabilitation. "The team was training in the gym at the rehabilitation centre, so it wasn't far for the guys to go recruiting. I always wanted to play [ice] hockey, I like contact sports, but [Para ice hockey] is more of a sport for amputees and it requires torso mobility.
