Impairment Details
At age 16 he broke his C5 and C6 vertebrae after the van he was driving slid down an embankment on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. He had pulled over on a logging road to let another vehicle pass when the van slid on the soft ground. He was paralysed from the neck down. (cbc.ca, 30 May 2016)

OTHER ACTIVITIES
He has coached Canadian wheelchair rugby player Brandon Perger and in 2020 received a Fuelling Athlete and Coaching Excellence [FACE] grant to support his work with Perger. He has served as a board member for athlete representative organisation AthletesCAN in Canada. He has also co-hosted a web series called 'Wheelchair Rugby Talk with Trav n' Trev' alongside Canadian wheelchair rugby teammate Travis Murao.
