"While I was in high school, I played basketball in physical education classes. But there was no wheelchair basketball team in Yalova. When a team was started in 2005, a random person talked to my father about my impairment and asked me how old I was. He told my father there was a new wheelchair basketball team. When my father got home, he told me right away. I was glad to hear it because I had been away from sports for five years. That's why I started playing wheelchair basketball without hesitation."
