General
MOVE TO SPAIN
In 2020 he chose to leave The Owls club in Manchester, England, to join Mideba Extremadura in Badajoz, Spain. He believed the move would give him a better chance of making the Great Britain squad for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. "With the Paralympic Games getting postponed for a year I realised that I need to play in a better league with world-class players in order to try and earn a spot on the GB team. I feel like I've served my time in the UK and had three great seasons here. Mideba is one of the best clubs in the world, and the opportunity to play alongside [GB teammates] Phil [Pratt] and George [Bates] really pulled me towards signing for them. I moved to Spain when I was 18 to play for Valladolid, and although it was amazing and gave me important life experiences, it wasn't the right decision for me at that moment. I was too young, and my game wasn't developed, I chased the lifestyle and the money, and my game eventually took a knock-on effect. I know I'm ready now and I'm no longer a young boy."
