General
RESTORING CONFIDENCE
In 2019 he made the move from the Sheffield Steelers in England to the Rhine River Rhinos in Germany. He says he did not get enough game time at the Steelers and left to restore his confidence and try and get back into the Great Britain team ahead of the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo. "I decided to return to the Rhine River Rhinos as I really enjoyed the previous two years that I have played there. I made some good friends and teammates during my time with the team and I am looking forward to another season with them. I made this decision to try and gain some confidence whilst playing in a competitive league that allows me to develop my personal game further. [Not making the Great Britain team in 2019] obviously wasn't the result I wanted, but it has really motivated me to work on my weaknesses in order to improve my game and have a better chance of making the Paralympic team. I chose Germany as it was a familiar environment for me as I know what to expect with the team and travel. This is important for me as one of my main goals for the season is to improve my confidence." (rollt-magazin.de, 23 Aug 2019)
