Biographical Information

Highlights

:
He played wheelchair basketball with the US men's team from 1990 to 2004, winning a total of nine gold medals and one silver medal at major international competitions. He competed at four Paralympic Games between 1992 and 2004, winning bronze medals at the 1996 and 2000 Games. He also won gold medals at the world championships in 1994 and 1998. He played at club level in the United States of America for the Golden State Road Warriors [formerly the Golden State 76'ers] from 1989 to 2015, guiding them to two NWBA championships. He also captained the team from 1992 to 2004. He helped the team to the their first ever Final Four appearance during the 1996/97 NWBA season. He works as a youth sports programme coordinator at the Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program [BORP] in Berkeley, CA, United States of America. The aim of the organisation is to provide sports and recreation opportunities for students with physical impairments throughout the Northern California area. He coaches the organisation's junior wheelchair basketball team and Para ice hockey team. He has also worked as a director of sports technology with the NWBA High Performance Program to help with the testing and design of wheelchairs.
