Impairment Details
In 2007 he was injured while working as a labourer at an industrial workshop in Rockhampton, QLD, Australia, when mining equipment fell from a forklift. He lost three toes on his right foot and a muscle in his right leg. He underwent numerous operations in addition to skin grafting, renal dialysis and a tendon transfer. In January 2021 he, Melissa Tapper and Nathan Pellissier were appointed co-captains of the Australian national Para table tennis team for 2021. "It is an honour to have been selected as a team captain of the Australian Para table tennis team in a Paralympic year, I consider this a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am looking forward to leading by example with a positive attitude both on and off the court.
