Biographical Information

Highlights

MOVE TO SITTING VOLLEYBALL
After representing Brazil in able-bodied volleyball at four Olympic Games, he retired from the sport in 1994 in order to focus on coaching. He became involved with sitting volleyball after attending the 2004 Paralympic Games in Athens. "In 2004 I went to Athens to study this sport that appeared on the international scene. In Brazil we didn't know much and it was a very strong, new experience. I discovered a nuance of volleyball that is still part of my life today." (ruetir.com, 06 Mar 2021)
