She worked as a software analyst in Italy prior to her amputation. "I worked as a software analyst for a company but after the amputation I stayed at home. I didn't know how to face life. I was ashamed to go out and as a woman it was difficult to accept the change in your own body. Sports give us the right motivation to overcome big obstacles."
