In 2016 he suffered a concussion after he collided with another athlete in the final of the men's T52 100m at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The injury meant he had to withdraw from the men's T52 400m at the Games. (sammcintosh.com, 25 Sep 2019)
