General
TRAINING FOR TOKYO
In 2019 he relocated from Wingham, NSW, Australia, to Newcastle, NSW, to start intensive training for the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo with coach Andrew Dawes. Previously he only travelled to Newcastle once a week for a session with Dawes, mostly training on his own at the Taree Recreation Centre in Wingham. "This is so much better. We've got a quick team. I think we'll have a good chance, so there'll be some pressure on me. I've been to Japan once, I finished ninth [at the 2014 International Wheelchair Half Marathon], just behind the main bunch, so I'm hoping to improve."
