General Interest
United Republic of Tanzania made its Paralympic debut in 1992, with Noorel Sharriff competing in table tennis.
Tanzanian competitors next participated at the Paralympic Games in 2004 in Athens. The NPC has been represented by a single athlete at the past three editions of the Games going back to Beijing 2008, with Ignas Madumla Mtweve competing in the men's F55 shot put and F56 discus throw at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
