Saudi Arabia claimed its first and only Paralympic gold medal in 2008. Osamah Masaud Al Shanqiti won the men's T12 triple jump in Beijing, also finishing in second place in the men's T12 long jump.
Hani Alnakhli claimed Saudi Arabia's only medal at the London 2012 Games when he finished with the silver in the men's F32-34 discus. Alnakhli won his second medal in 2016, taking the F33 shot put bronze in Rio de Janeiro.
