General Interest
Carol Eduard Novak claimed Romania's first three medals at the Paralympic Games. Novak began his Paralympic success with silver in the men's LC2 time trial at the 2008 Games in Beijing, and then became the NPC's first Paralympic champion with his victory in the C4 4km individual pursuit in London four years later. He also claimed another silver in the C4 time trial at London 2012.
Alexandru Bologa secured another medal for Romania at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro by securing bronze in the men's 60kg judo event.
