General Interest

Hong Kong, China has won at least two medals at each edition of the Games in which it has participated. The NPC won its first gold medals at the 1984 event, and since 1992 has won no fewer than two Paralympic titles at each Games.

Fencer Yu Chui Yee won gold in two individual and two team events at the 2004 Games, and then claimed a further seven medals, three of them gold, over the next three editions.

Sprinter So Wa Wai won 12 medals, including six gold, in athletics between 1996 and 2012. He won the T36 200m at three consecutive Games between 2000 and 2008, before settling for silver in the event in 2012.

Hong Kong, China won two gold medals at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. Leung Yuk Wing claimed gold in the mixed individual boccia event and swimmer Tang Wai Lok was victorious in the men's S14 200m freestyle.
