The NPC sent two athletes, both in athletics, and sprinter Isatou Nyang registered Gambia's highest finish when she finished 12th in the women's T54 100m.
Demba Jarju was the other athlete who represented the NPC in 2012, and he was the lone Gambian who travelled to the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, competing in the men's T54 100m athletics event.
