General Interest

Since making its debut in 2000, El Salvador has sent one athlete to every edition of the Paralympic Games, apart from in 2004 when it sent two competitors.

El Salvador's lone representative at the 2016 Games in Rio was Herbert Aceituno, who competed in the 72kg powerlifting event.
