General Interest
Athletes from the Democratic Republic Of Congo first competed at the Paralympic Games in 2012. The NPC was represented by two competitors in London, both of whom participated in athletics. Levy Kitambala Kizito contested the men's F57/58 javelin and F57/58 discus throw, while Dedeline Mibamba Kimbata competed in the women's F57/58 discus throw and the T54 100m sprint.
Two DR Congo athletes also took part in the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro. Rosette Luyina Kiese ranked 10th in the women's F57 shot put and Jhon Mwengani Mabonze finished 18th in the men's T54 100m.
