General Interest

Oumar Kone has won three gold medals at the Paralympic Games and is Cote d'Ivoire's most successful Paralympian. His first two gold medals came at the 1996 Games in Atlanta, where he claimed victory in the T42-46 400m and the T44-46 800m, and his third arrived four years later in Sydney as he secured gold in the T46 800m.

Cote d'Ivoire's other two medals came from Paul Fernand Kra Koffi, who won bronze in the men's T12 800m in 2000, and Fatimata Brigitte Diasso. Diasso became the NPC's first female medallist at the Paralympic Games by claiming silver in the T11 long jump at Rio 2016.
