COACH RELATIONSHIP
He says he has a good relationship with national head coach Tuomas Sammelvuo, who he previously played alongside for Russian club Lokomotiv Novosibirsk. "When I first arrived at the training camp [of the Russian national team], we had a half-hour conversation, during which Tuomas explained his requirements and wishes. The rest of the communication was already informal. We have a good relationship. He may come up during a training session or call after it to ask me about my condition. I played with him in Novosibirsk in 2010 and 2013. As a person, he has not changed in any way, as he was a good friend, he remained the same.
