LEARNING THE ROPES
He was part of the men's 4x100m medley relay team [alongside Markus Thormeyer, Richard Funk and Yuri Kisil] that secured a quota spot for Canada at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo after finishing 10th overall at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju, Republic of Korea. At age 16 he was the youngest male Canadian at the event, and said he learnt a lot from observing his older teammates and competitors. "I was watching all the guys to see how they prepared and how they raced, the things they do and how they don't make mistakes. You know you can take stuff from them and add it into what I'm doing.
