In 2020 he started swimming and studying at Drury University in Springfield, MO, United States of America. "Two years ago, I came to the United States looking to go to Florida State, but there was some problems with paperwork and the NCAA, so I had to wait a year. But coming [to Drury] looked like it would work out better. I started talking to [assistant coach] Zach [Mertens], and I knew I could trust him. Here I also have two Polish friends, and they were telling me there was a really good atmosphere here and really good energy. For the last two years in Poland, I swam alone, and coming here, these coaches and the other guys give me more energy. I was part of the national team in Poland, but it's not the same as here.
