Poland are making their second Olympic appearance in the men's 4x100m freestyle relay in Tokyo, having finished ranked 12th on their debut at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

In three appearances at the world championships, Poland have a best result of fifth from the 2015 edition. They placed 12th at the 2019 World Championships in Gwangju.

At continental level Poland claimed bronze at the 2018 European Championships, which was their first medal at the tournament. They dipped to 10th at the most recent edition held in 2021.
