In 2010 he was appointed as skills coach with the New Zealand rugby sevens team. In the same year he took up the same position with the Taranaki Academy, a team he had worked with since 2008. In 2013 he was named assistant coach of the Hurricanes rugby union team in Wellington, New Zealand. Moving back to Great Britain, he worked as the London Irish assistant coach from 2015 to 2016.
