NATIONAL TEAM RE-SELECTION
She was dropped from the national team for six months in the lead up to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. She earned a recall to the national team in January 2016 after attending try outs, and went on to win a bronze medal at the 2016 Games. "The whole year leading up, I didn't think I was going to go [to Rio], so I had a different mindset. It was hard to deal with, so for about six months, I was training by myself and I had to get a job to stay in Victoria [British Columbia] at a department store.
