OTHER ACTIVITIES

SIZE
She has consistently been told that she is too short and too light to play rugby, and says this is the biggest obstacle she's had to face in the sport. "I was successful at junior level, but as I moved up to seniors I was told by a coach I was too small and trained on my own for four years on a non-travelling roster. I never thought about not making it, I did it because I loved it and had internal drive to succeed. I chose to prove them wrong. Before John Tait there was a lack of trust among national coaches that I was able, physical enough, big enough, skilled enough, to play at the senior international level." (HSBC YouTube channel, 08 Mar 2019; canadianathletesnow.ca, 20 Nov 2015; thestar.com, 12 Jun 2015)
