ONLINE COACHING
He worked as a volunteer rugby coach in 2020 and 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing online lessons and virtual fitness classes for children. "It has given me a bit of purpose. My whole life had been driven around training, running, being fit and playing rugby, but for almost a year now [speaking in January 2021] everything has been up in the air. This has definitely given me the drive to focus on making these sessions as good as possible. I will sit down and think about how I can make sessions different and improve them. It gives me something to think about rather than just sitting around, it gives me that feeling of getting better at something again. Mental health issues are rife at the moment. We are trying to do our bit in making sure that they are not just physically healthy, but mentally healthy." (telegraph.co.uk, 17 Jan 2021)
