General Interest

General
FATHER'S INFLUENCE
He says he did not feel pressure from his father Garry, who played rugby internationally for Canada and was one of his coaches at school, to pursue the sport. "He never really cared if I played rugby or not. It didn't become my main sport until later on. He just wanted me to be involved with all sports at McRoberts [high school]." (theprovince.com, 09 Mar 2018)

FUTURE PLANS
He has prepared himself for a variety of potential careers after rugby, including completing firefighting training and studying to become a physical education teacher. However, he says he will still remain involved in rugby after his playing days are over. "It just seems like rugby is one of those sports that stays with you for life. Not many people are able to cut ties with it completely when they're done playing, for some reason. I know that I won't either." (theprovince.com, 09 Mar 2018; jccabulletin-geppo.ca, 10 Feb 2012)
