He served as director of rugby for London Scottish rugby union club in England from 2013 to 2015. He held the position of head coach of the Kenya men's sevens team from 2012 to 2013. He coached at the Blackheath Rugby Club between 2006 and 2013, and served as a scrum half coach for London Wasps from 2009 to 2010. Previously, he served as coach of the England women's rugby union team from 2007 to 2009. Between 2002 and 2004 he worked as assistant coach of the England men's sevens team before taking over as head coach from 2004 to 2006.
