General Interest

General
PAIR, EIGHT AND FOUR BOAT
Since being called up to the British senior rowing team in 2018 she has competed in the women's pair, eight and four boats. She has mostly featured in the women's four, and was part of the team that won the women's four B final at the 2019 World Championships in Linz-Ottensheim, Austria, to secure a 2020 Olympic quota place for Great Britain in the event. ROWING SIBLINGS
Her older brother Tom was already in the British rowing squad when she was first called up to the senior squad in 2018, and she said his presence helped her settle in. She says the two have a good relationship with little rivalry between them. "One of the scariest things is walking into the changing room and not knowing where anyone's space is. You don't know where to put your bag because you don't want to tread on anyone's toes. Obviously having Tom on the team has also made it easy. If I have any issues I just talk to him, we go for coffee and sort our problems. We've never really had competition between each other. I'd say we're really good friends as well as brother and sister, so we help each other out rather than have any competition. Maybe if we were two brothers or two sisters, racing on the same side of the squad, there would be some rivalry, but there isn't." (britishrowing.org, 21 Jun 2018)

CHARITY CLIMB
In 2019 she completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, which involves climbing the highest mountains of England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours. She completed the challenge to raise money for the University Hospitals of North Midlands [UHNM] Charity, after the hospital had treated her grandfather in its intensive care unit. "[I] could not be more grateful for the work the intensive care unit did [at UHNM] to give grandad more of his life to live. [I am] trying to raise a small amount of money to give back to UHNM so another patient can experience the amazing care they gave to our family." (Instagram profile, 01 Aug 2019)
