RETIREMENT THOUGHTS
After she won silver at the 2018 World Cup in London, England, she contemplated retiring from the national team but was inspired to continue on with her fourth attempt at qualifying for the Olympic Games. "On more than one occasion I thought my time was done and I just didn't see that it was an option to stay on. After winning silver in London I took time away and felt I'd have regrets if I didn't give it one last go." In November 2019 she was part of the Irish team that defeated Canada in a playoff to secure qualification for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. COACHING
She works as a talent coach for the Ulster Hockey governing body in Belfast, Northern Ireland. "The role is something really special and a legacy that we can leave behind that we are inspiring young girls and boys to take up the sport and aspire to playing international hockey." (independent.ie, 01 Nov 2019)
