In the lead-up to the 2018 World Cup in London, England, she was able to get time off work to compete for Ireland but had not expected reaching the final and winning silver. "Thankfully my boss [Ken Rutherford], who has played hockey for Ulster and Ireland, was very supportive when I told him that I was going to the World Cup. I told him it would probably be gone for two weeks as we would be knocked out early but it ended up being four weeks.
