CLUB CAREER
After graduating from the University of Michigan, she signed her first professional contract with Australian side Perth Glory in 2014. She also played for Swedish team Vittsjo GIK before returning to the United States of America to play for the Washington Spirit ahead of the 2016 National Women's Soccer League [NWSL] season. She moved to the Orlando Pride in 2018, but joined English Women's Super League side Tottenham Hotspur on loan ahead of the 2020/21 season. OVERCOMING DOUBTS
She made her senior international debut in 2013 but then had to wait two years before she was called up to the US national team again. "The jump from the U20 team to the full national team was massive. I found it to be a lot of pressure, mainly pressure I put on myself to be perfect, and it was hard for me to enjoy it. I really had to decide if this was what I wanted to pursue. I think in that two-year span when I wasn't on the team, that's where I started to grow and learn. I stopped caring about making all the little errors and was able to grow into who I was and have the confidence to be out there. I've found that my mental game has gotten stronger, it's definitely taken a while to get good at this and when I was younger I was more nervous, but I often turn my nervousness into excitement now."
