She separated her shoulder during Canada's quarterfinal match against France at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. She missed the remainder of the quarterfinal, as well as the semifinal match, but returned to the team for Canada's victory over Brazil in the bronze medal match. WAITING FOR CANADA
Despite playing for Canada at the 2008 U20 World Cup in Chile, she initially did not progress to the senior squad. She considered switching to play for Scotland, the birth country of her mother, but decided to email Canada national coach John Herdman to remind him she was playing club football in Sweden. CLUB HISTORY
After graduating from Louisiana State University in 2011, she signed her first professional contract with Swedish side IK Sirius FK. She played in Sweden for three years before moving back to the United States of America to sign with the Houston Dash in 2015. She was traded to the Boston Breakers ahead of the 2017 National Women's Soccer League [NWSL] season and joined the North Carolina Courage a year later when the club folded.
