General Interest

General
ACADEMIC EXCELENCE
During her bachelor's degree in exercise from 2017 to 2021 at Florida State University [FSU] she has won several academic honours, including the NCAA Elite 90 Award, and achieved a cumulative Grade Point Average [GPA] of 4.0 [the highest possible score] as of the start of her senior year in 2020/21. She plans to do a post graduate degree in medicine after completing her undergraduate degree. "Academics has always been an important part of my life, so I've always tried to put as much work into my school as I do into my soccer. Making sure my schedule is well-balanced, for example by giving myself time to relax, has also helped me stay on top of my academics and my sport." (rds.ca, 14 Feb 2020; seminoles.com, 12 Sep 2020)

VERSATILITY
Although she has played as a forward and midfielder with the Canadian national team, she has played as a defender with her university team, the FSU Seminoles, often operating at fullback. "Eventually I realised fullback was a position that suited me quite well. We had a lack of fullbacks [at FSU] and I think it really helped me to be able to play in that position." (rds.ca, 14 Feb 2020)
