EARLY DAYS
She began her football journey playing for her local boys' team Beighton Magpies in Sheffield, England, before joining Sheffield United's Centre of Excellence at age 12. "Playing with the lads was such an important part of my development, and I fully believe that was key to where I am now. I'm a huge Sheffield United fan, I've had a season ticket since I could walk to be honest, and I've gone to the games with my dad, so signing for them was something I'd always wanted to do. Growing up and wearing the shirt of the team you support, there's no better feeling." She left her family home at age 15 to join Manchester City, where she lived with a host family. "I actually found it pretty hard. It was tough because I didn't have a car. It was pretty out in the sticks. I'd go from seeing my mates after school every day, probably being out on the street all the time, then coming over here [Manchester City], where you kind of have to think of other things, when you need to rest, where you need to do this. That was a big change, and I've always been a massive, massive family person. If I didn't have to leave home, I'd probably still be living there now. But it set me up nicely."
