General Interest

General
MOTHERHOOD AND FOOTBALL
She found out she was pregnant at 15 one week after she had been invited to sign for Universidad Catolica. The Chilean club had held a trial in Tocopilla and she had been the only girl to attend. She gave birth to her son Lian at age 16 and then decided to pursue a career in football. "Many people said that my dream was over and I had to focus on my role as a mother. But my son was my motivation. I became more mature and grew up as a person and as a footballer. I said, 'Now I have a goal to focus on and to fight for in life'. She went on to join Palestino in 2015 and, when she moved to Spain in 2020, her son stayed in Chile with her parents. (chile.as.com, 23 Apr 2021; europeamedia.es, 08 Feb 2021)

CLUB JOURNEY
She played in Chile for Palestino, Santiago Morning and Colo-Colo before signing for Spanish club Sevilla in 2020. (chile.as.com, 23 Apr 2021; javieratoro.com, 22 Apr 2020)
