She admits that it has become easier than it was initially to combine her occupation as a nurse with her football career. "At the beginning it was much more complicated, because in Chile there is no sports culture. I had several teachers at university who did not understand me and told me that I should get my priorities in order because, in their opinion, you could not be a nurse and a footballer. However, as people got to know me, I gained the support of my professors and the department. In the end, what I have discovered in my years of nursing and football is that it is essential to have support on both sides. She began her career with Universidad Catolica in Chile at age 17. She also played with Audax Italiano in Chile.
