She won individual gold in sabre at the 2018 World Championships in Wuxi, People's Republic of China, and gold in the team sabre at the 2019 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. She is also the daughter of Stanislav Pozdnyakov, who won a total of four gold medals while representing the Unified Team and the Russian Federation at the Olympic Games in 1992, 1996 and 2000.
