While playing for Syracuse University in 2011 she was named Big East Conference Pitcher of the Year. She left the university as the first pitcher in Big East Conference history to reach 1000 strikeouts, and was Syracuse University's all-time pitching leader for wins, appearances, shutouts and innings pitched.
