During his studies at Macalester College in the United States of America, he was named to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference [MIAC] All-Conference Team for 2010 and 2011. He also received All-Midwest honours for his junior year in 2011, when he recorded the least amount of strike outs in Division III with one strike out in 120 at-bats, and was named a First Team All American by the Jewish Sports Review in both 2010 and 2011.
