OVERSEAS UNIVERSITY EXPERIENCE
In 2013 he began studying for a degree in sport and exercise science at the University of Tulsa in United States of America. It is an experience he recommends to fellow British athletes. "I have had access to physio and treatment for a number of years, for which I am truly grateful. It's all a combination of things which deliver the results. I benefited by training with a group every day and being held accountable to get the training done. There were guys to push me who have also gone onto being a 'pro'. The team environment is something you wouldn't expect, and it makes each and every individual thrive. While I initially saw it as an opportunity to have a debt free degree behind me, I also had no one to train with back home."
