LONDON 2012 HEARTBREAK
At the 2012 Olympic Games in London he was part of the Canadian 4x100m relay team that initially finished third. However, one of his teammates was later found to have stepped out of his lane during the race and the team was disqualified. "Every time I hear 'Olympic Games', that [disqualification] rings a bell first. I felt so devastated, like everything is just lost in my life. Just a nightmare. You just felt like there's no way anything could make you happy or actually motivate you to do another one or feel that way again. But the family, the friends, the coaches, not to mention Canada, was there to support us and they definitely helped to bring me back, motivate me and keep me staying hungry."
