Her mother Iwona Baumgart [nee Tomaszewska] competed in 400m at national level and is an athletics coach. Her father Blazej Baumgart competed in sailing and is a two-time national champion. He has also served as a director the BKS Bydgoszcz club. Her husband Andrzej Witan has played professional football as a goalkeeper in Poland.
