PLASTIC POLLUTION AWARENESS
In 2019 she and her artistic swimming duet partner Kate Shortman performed a routine in a pool full of plastic items to demonstrate the impact of plastic waste on the world's oceans, the video of which went viral. "I was so surprised by the fact that it got so much publicity. We went into it thinking this was a really good thing, and that hopefully we could build awareness to it while also bringing awareness to our sport. But then it literally just blew up."
