General Interest

Monaco has sent a team to all but three editions of the Olympic Games since its debut in 1920, with shooting and sailing the sports in which the NOC has entered the most athletes.

Despite never having won a medal, the principality has had a number of prolific Olympians. Rifle shooter Fabienne Pasetti leads the way with six Olympic appearances to her name between 1988 and 2008. She was also the first woman to represent Monaco and remains one of only two women to have represented the NOC. The second female Olympian from Monaco, Angelique Trinquier, entered the 100m backstroke in London in 2012.

Monaco sent a three-person team to the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, with one representative each in artistic gymnastics, athletics and judo.
