Sister Lee Yubin (Short track): Relay gold medallist at the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games and 2018 World Championships in Montreal. Junior world champion in 2017 (Innsbruck). Five World Cup wins, 13 podium finishes, with two of her three individual wins coming during the 2021/22 season. Finished the 2021/22 World Cup season first overall in the 1500m.

Milestones

Finished fifth in the 1500m and ninth in the 1000m at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

Finished seventh overall at the 2019 World Championships in Sofia. Won bronze in the 1500m, finishing 0.085 seconds behind gold medallist Lim Hyo Jun (KOR), 0.032 seconds behind silver medallist Samuel Girard (CAN) and 0.097 seconds ahead of Steven Dubois (CAN). Missed the 2021 World Championships in Dordrecht after the Korean team withdrew due to COVID-19.

Second overall at the 2018 World Junior Championships in Tomaszow Mazowiecki, winning the 500m and 1500m Superfinal, and finishing third in the 1000m. Korea swept the podium, with Hon Kyung Hwan and Park Jang Hyuk finishing first and third respectively.

Twenty World Cup podiums in two seasons. Finished the 1500m third overall in his first season (2018/19), which included finishing on the podium in his first three races. Improved to second overall in 2020, courtesy of his first victory in Shanghai. One win in the 500m (Dordrecht).
